Vaer is a Los Angeles-based watch company that started in 2015. The 18 different components are sourced globally — the movements are Swiss, the case and pieces are sourced in Asia — but everything is hand assembled and tested in Los Angeles, CA.
Vaer’s mission is simple. They want to create a single watch you can wear on any occasion, be it going to a wedding or waist-high in a river, trout fishing. All of their watches offer 100-meter water resistance, a Swiss Quartz Ronda 763 movement, and come with a selection of two bands. One NATO-style strap comes standard and you can opt for a second NATO strap, a single pass leather band, or a two-piece Horween Leather band. Vaer also provides a two-year warranty, as well as free shipping with every order and is a member of 1% For The Planet, meaning one percent of annual sales is donated to protecting the environment.
Vaer offers two different style watches, the Classic Watch and Field Watch. They come in the exact same cases, meaning the only differences are the internals and the face designs. The Classic is very minimal with no numbers and scarce writing on the face. It comes with a white or navy face. The Field Watch, on the other hand, has a very classic field watch look with number markings for seconds, hours, and 24-hour markings. It also has a date complication.
