The BioLite FirePit is now available to purchase

The BioLite FirePit is now available to purchase

BioLite, the company behind one of my favorite wood stoves, successfully funded another Kickstarter project last year, the FirePit.

Built on the same technology as its existing camp stoves, the FirePit can burn either wood or charcoal and has 51 air jets to inject the fire with oxygen. This not only makes the temperature throughout the burn chamber more uniform, it helps reduce smoke. It has a built-in 10,400 mAh battery that will last up to 24 hours and can be recharged via USB or a solar cover that is sold separately ($60).

The Korcraft Everyday Blade is the world's smallest folding utility knife

The Korcraft Everyday Blade is the world's smallest folding utility knife

I'm a recent utility blade convert. They're super compact and lightweight, low maintenance, and come with very few disadvantages. Plus, you never have to worry about sharpening the blade -- when one dulls, toss it and pop in another. Honestly, it makes perfect sense for everyday carry, which is why I'm happy to see more love for utility blades throughout the community as a whole.

The Relic EWC knife lets you choose how you want to carry it

When it comes to keychain-sized knives, there are normally two ways to carry: toss it on a keyring or let it ride at the bottom of your pocket. Few knives that small come with a pocket clip. A new knife from Relic, however, is different.

The Relic EWC knife features an interchangeable, deep carry pocket clip that, at the press of a button, can be quickly swapped out for a keyring attachment. This also means that if you're keychain carrying, you can press a button to detach the knife from your keys. And the keychain attachment doubles as a bottle opener.

The EWC is 4 inches (10 centimeters) long when closed and weighs just 2.8 ounces (79 grams).  The handles are made of 304 stainless steel with a slip joint lock. The 1.5-inch (3.8-centimeter) drop point blade is made of D2 steel.

Relic is currently seeking funding for the EWC knife on Kickstarter. Early bird pricing starts at $50 for the knife with one pocket clip and one key clip, and you can expect delivery in November 2018.

The Eclipse is a coin knife you can actually grip

The Eclipse is a coin knife you can actually grip

When you look into buying a knife, you can go a couple different routes. You can grab a heavy-duty knife in your pocket, or you could carry a smaller utility knife for everyday tasks. Some smaller knives, however, are so small they're difficult to grip. The Eclipse from Fulcrum Knives, on the other hand, morphs to give you extra grip.

You can now pre-order the MSTR LINX titanium carabiner key ring set

Key organization is the weak point of many everyday carry setups. Carabiners are often clunky, heavy, or both. Key rings suck. And if you have a giant key fob, it only makes matters worse. Then you have the problem of small S-Biners coming unhooked when you don't want them to. (I've temporarily lost my keys countless times thanks to dual-gated carabiners.) Those are all problems the MSTR LINX aims to solve.

Turn your phone into a satellite communicator with Bivystick

When you're out in the woods, miles from the nearest cell tower or where cell coverage is blocked by the inconvenient placement of a rather sizable rock, your phone isn't going to do you much good. And while sat-comm devices are gradually becoming more user-friendly and affordable, it's the cost of using them that's often the deterrent.

That’s where Bivystick comes into play.
